Attention! 3rd-7th grade Parents and Parents of 8th-12th grade ag students! Is your child interested in being part of the White Oak FFA Show Team?

If students would like to be a part of the White Oak FFA Show Team, we have a mandatory meeting on August 30th at 6pm in Cafeteria. This is for both student and parent, but if your student cannot come we do ask that a parent/ guardian be present. The White Oak FFA Show Team is for individuals who would like to show at the Harvest Festival or Gregg County Livestock Show. There are several projects that a student can show including the following:

Animal Projects: Rabbits, Chickens, Goats, Lamb, or Pig.
Ag Mechanics Projects: For students enrolled in Welding or Shop or have someone at home who can help build a wood or metal project
Horticulture Project: Succulents, Hanging Baskets, Container projects and Floral Design arrangements
Food Projects: Bread, rolls, cakes, cookies, candies, brownies and salsa entries.
Handcrafts Projects: Hand Stitchery, Weaving, Ceramic/pottery, Wall hangings, Wreaths/door decorations and Wearable Arts/clothing and miscellaneous projects
Photography Projects: Black/white and color based.
Pumpkin Contest: Carved, decorated or painted.

If students are interested in showing any of the above items, please come to the meeting on Monday for more information, requirements and deadlines. This is only if your student wants to put in the money, time and commitment to be a part of this one aspect of FFA. Please reach out to any of the three agricultural science teachers about questions. If you can not be at the meeting, please email and let me know so I can provide you with the information and requirements to be a part of the team.

Thank you so much and have a blessed day!
